A community meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 7th, 2013; 6pm at the Morro Bay Veteran's Hall (209 Surf St., Morro Bay, CA, 93442). At this event, planning consultants, Lisa Wise Consulting (LWC) will present the proposed outline and process of the Morro Bay Fishing Community Sustainability Plan. The purpose of this grant funded project is to provide a long term strategic path for the City of Morro Bay to support environmentally and economically sustainable fisheries and a vibrant working waterfront. City staff and consultants will take public input on the proposed approach, process, expected and desired outcomes etc. After the January 2013 kickoff meeting, LWC will be conducting stakeholder interviews and information gathering on key marine dependent infrastructure in Morro Bay during spring of 2013. A final report is anticipated for City council review in summer of 2013.
