The Joint Cable/Fisheries Liaison Committee has added the cost of these safety classes to the list of items that qualify for the Safety Grant Program. Details for the 2013 SGP should be on the slofiberfish.org website soon. The life raft rollover has also been continued for 2013. Another item that will qualify is satellite telephones, but not the phone bills. If you choose the satellite phone option for;COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

A single radio transceiver which meets the above requirements,
or a cellular telephone or satellite communication system
servicing the area the vessel operates may be substituted
